Electrophysiology

ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY!!! What is it? It’s only multiple line on the cardiac monitor. And the consultant can interpret it by just a glance, not even the cardiologist. Really can’t imagine how long they take to master it. Wondering will I have a chance to know how to at least read it in the future. Maybe I think too much. It is so impossible to me since I don’t even know the anatomy well and can’t interpret the ECG properly. What I can do is only study and practice. Pray hard that I will reach the level one day……

Inside every medical student is a consultant in the making.
I hope this quote from Jimbo can be realised… I dun wan to be a specialized MO who can’t make it to specelist level.. haha..
Let’s work hard to graduate 1st
Oh must say something. Electrophysiology is the study of electrical currents in the body, or the use of electrical currents to study body function. It involves the study of ionic currents in muscle, nerves, and every single other cell type. The flat lines on a cardiac monitor is a dead patient, and thats an ElectroCardioGram (ECG), and it represents the average current from the heart when recorded from a particular point.
